Exercise class 7: Character 'celebrity interview'

Create a 'Celebrity Questions'-style profile of the main character in your project.
1. Choose an appropriate context for your interview (Good Weekend? Tractor Monthly? New Weekly? Ferret-fanciers Quarterly?)
2. Write 10 questions that would be typical of such a feature in your chosen content.
3. Answer the questions as your character would
4. Include a picture of the character.

Great image -- but the 'interview' reads more like a literary analysis than the character's voice.

Oh look here it is! Ignore the message above...

Hard call, interviewing a turtle -- and I think that you've only managed to capture his 'voice' intermittently. One way to check that you've captured the spirit of your character is to read out his lines aloud, with accent, intonation, etc... as you image he would sound. If it stumbles or sounds a bit silly, it's because you aren't speaking in his 'voice'

Good modulation to show your character's flashes of self-reflexivity. I'm assuming that your character believes that he is Don Quixote rather than actually is? I'd suggest you read 'Pierre Menard Author of the Quixote' by Jorge Luis Borges -- it may help you add more depth and layering to your character's 'voice'
