Parkour in International Ads

Parkour is a "recreational activity of French origin, the aim of which is to move from point A to point B as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour).

Some people are quite skeptical about Parkour, and some countries do not allow traceurs (Parkour practitioners) to practice it in public. This exhibition showcases a variety of international businesses that used Parkour to advertise their products. Parkour is a unique and healthy practice that should be encouraged all over the world.

The videos are categorised under each traceur or traceur team, who have appeared in the ads either as themselves or stunt doubles.

Games have become somewhat of an art medium where the creators are free
to explore many different themes and subjects through their creations. The type of theme i have chosen are a series of flash based games which have been used by creators to draw attention, poke fun at or just create a twist for entertainment at things that deal with world issues such as political, environmental, social etc..

This is an exhibition of well known digital artists that paint fantasy settings. Each has a good story behind it and the paintings leave a lot to the imagination. It's always good to dream.

I have concentrated my exhibition on this surreal artform, and focused this method on unrealistic human figures.

East meet West

This concept is based around the popular idea of combining both the Asian style of art, culture and aesthetics and combing them with the western’s own particular style, to produce a hybrid work of art or media work that show the influences of the two.

Silhouette Art

My online exhibition will focus mainly on silhouette animation. Silhouette animation is not as popular or known by many people but it has gradually progress since the early nineties. In this exhibition I will show different silhouette animation from the ancient times to present day now. A lot of animation was influenced by Lotte Reiniger, a silhouette animator.

Participate

Participate deals with artwork that is exhibited primarily on the Internet. All of the artworks deal with the ideas of identity, participation, evolution, connections, interaction and the collective.

All of the works have content that has been provided by Internet users, their voice, their images, videos, ideas, identity etc. Each work continually evolves as new users interact with the work, placing their own footprint in the creative collective of co-existence. All of the Internet works rely on the users to PARTICIPATE.

Animated Extraterrestriality
The concept of extraterrestrial aliens is generally viewed as a life form, which originates from the depths of space. There are many stereotypical ideas about aliens, and these ideas are often explored and built upon by individuals to create unique interpretations of such life forms.

This online exhibition aims to explore the ways in which various individuals express their ideas of alien life-forms, and their natures, using Flash animations as their medium.

My online exhibition is about the differences between Japan's super hero and America's super hero. All super heroes have the same purpose which is saving people lives and managing the world's peace. But each super hero has a different way to fight for justice and most importantly they look distinctively different. As you can see, the design of America's super heroes are look more like masculine human wearing a biological costume, whereas the Japan version are more look like a technological look.
