Pitchline:

Pollinator is a short 3d animation combining concepts adopted from Buddhism and nature into a unique, myth-like context.

Synopsis:

Pollinator is a short 3d animation, offering us, not only a glimpse into another world, but places us as witness to a very rare happening from that world. It plays out much like a mythological or ritualistic episode. The films action can be symbolically likened to themes present in nature and religion. Rejuvenation, symbiosis, insignificance, conception and mortality are all brought to the fore in the form of abstract beings and their relationship with the environment around them.

A series of “reveals” occur throughout the film emphasising relationships of scale. This technique demonstrates how the perception of ones immediate environment can be distorted by a lack of knowledge in what lies beyond.

Good pitchline -- but the synopsis needs more work -- first of all proofreading (esp punctuation) -- but also to make it a bit punchier and descriptive of what you're doing. Include things like the atmosphere or art style of the animation and the soundtrack -- and perhaps a bit more information about the event.

Should be a bit shorter

'The Lost Prophecy' is an interactive 3D animation based on the mythical Chinese dragons. It is a new way of introducing the Chinese Culture in terms of Chinese art/painting and their famous mythical creatures.

The animation will be approximately fourteen minutes long, which will be split into seven parts (scenes). Instead of viewing a straight-forward animation, we are providing the audience the opportunity to decide which scene they would like to view first. To do this, we will be making a 3D-space webpage using Flash.

So, literally, the audience may choose to start with the second scene instead of the first. It is entirely up to the audience to decide how they would like to explore our story. However, here is the catch... for every scene they complete viewing, they will unlock information about the characters in the story (i.e. How did a character ended up here and there).

In order to establish our visual style for this project, we've decided to use a mixture of 2D + 3D elements. Our characters and buildings will be modelled in 3D, using the cell-shading render. The background/scenery will be created in 2D using the wash-out, watercolour effect. The models will also be textured using the watercolour effect, but with a slight outline to distinguish the model from the background.

Due to time constraint, we will be producing only four 3D animated scenes. The remaining scenes can be viewed as animatics. We have chosen to animate the first four scenes, as they are the scenes that will help introduce the story nicely.

Pitch:
An interactive animated visualisation that introduces you
to a small group of eccentric and unusual creative individuals.

Synopsis:
A short 2d animation created from a mixture of 2d animation and photography, we are introduced to six individuals in which you can interact with, you can play internal mini-games, while following a relativley linear storyline. Aimed at around 16-25 year olds, but really anyone can have a go. It introduces the audience to a talented young unsigned band while entertaining the users with interesting characters.

Great start Sophie -- could do with a bit of fine-tuning tho'.... make sure that you have included everything that needs to be communicated in the most engaging way you can (and that your sentences are grammatically correct -- the synopsis has a lot of minor problems in the area....)

eg A highly engaging interactive animation that introduces you to a young unsigned band through mini-games and by exploring the story of a small group of eccentric but highly creative individuals.

You pitch is looking great Phillip -- tho' you need take the capitals off 'Animation' and 'Sports Highlights' (unless that's a proper name -- eg the title of a tv program or whatever....

Your synopsis needs a bit more work tho'. Apart from problems with tense, I don't think it does justice to your project or intentions.

One trick is to imagine that someone who has seen it and loved it is describing it to someone else -- what would you hope that they said?
